These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of sunsavings.org (the "Site") and the services offered through it by SunSavings ("SunSavings," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About Our Services

SunSavings is an independent solar advisory service. We help homeowners research solar options, compare equipment, warranties, and pricing from third party installation companies, and coordinate the process of going solar. We are not a solar installer, general contractor, lender, or equipment manufacturer, and we do not perform installation work ourselves.

Any installation contract, warranty, financing agreement, or similar arrangement is entered into directly between you and the applicable third party provider. Those providers are solely responsible for their products, services, pricing, and performance.

2. Estimates and Calculators

Savings figures, system sizes, costs, payback periods, and other outputs from our calculator or advisory process are estimates only. They are based on the information you provide, publicly available data, and general assumptions. Actual results depend on your roof, weather, utility rates and policies, equipment performance, financing terms, and available incentives, all of which can change. Estimates are not a quote, an offer, or a guarantee of savings.

Nothing on the Site is tax, legal, or financial advice. Federal, state, and local incentives (including tax credits) depend on your individual circumstances. Consult a qualified tax professional or attorney about your situation.

3. Eligibility and Acceptable Use

The Site is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and located in the United States. By using the Site, you represent that you meet these requirements.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Submit false, misleading, or another person's information without authorization
  • Interfere with the Site's operation, security, or infrastructure
  • Attempt to access areas of the Site or systems you are not authorized to access
  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk collect information from the Site by automated means
  • Use the Site to send spam or unsolicited communications

4. Communications and Consent to Contact

When you submit a form or request an estimate, you agree that we may contact you by email, phone, or text message (including by automated systems where permitted by law) at the contact details you provide, to respond to your request and provide our services. Message and data rates may apply to text messages. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the message or contacting us. Transactional messages related to an active request may still be sent.

5. Intellectual Property

The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by or licensed to SunSavings and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to access and use the Site for your personal, noncommercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Site without our written permission.

6. Third Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third party websites or services, including advertising platforms such as Google and Meta and websites of installation partners. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties. Your dealings with any third party are solely between you and that party.

7. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR FREE, OR SECURE, THAT ESTIMATES WILL BE ACCURATE, OR THAT ANY PARTICULAR EQUIPMENT, WARRANTY, PRICE, OR INSTALLER WILL BE AVAILABLE TO YOU.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SUNSAVINGS AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, SAVINGS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US $100). SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SunSavings from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third party right.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when they were last revised. Changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of the Site after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

12. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and SunSavings regarding the Site.
